01 — NEWS

A new AI contender: Grok 🥊

We trawl through hundreds of AI articles each week to bring you the most relevant news for Kiwi Leaders. This week:

A new smarter version of an AI tool called Grok has launched.

Why this is relevant to Kiwi Leaders:

  • It’s made by X (formally Twitter) so its knowledge includes all tweets.

  • In terms of smarts, it’s a new genuine competitor to the other major AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot etc.) And competition is generally good for us consumers - since it motivates companies to very quickly improve their products.

  • For better or worse, its point of difference is a lack of filter in the responses.

Our take: interesting to see, but in our opinion not noticeably better for any business purposes. We’ll keep testing it and report back if this changes.

02 — PROMPT TIP

Get anything explained 💡

Each week we share a tip for better prompting. Have an idea to share with the community? We’d love to hear. Simply hit reply.

This tip is simple yet extremely powerful when used regularly.

If you come across a new term or concept, always ask AI to explain it.

In some situations, it’s useful to give extra context. For example:

Suggested Prompt:
I'm having a chat with a prospect about a project and she says:

"If you could help me with ROM and time that would be stellar. I'll put in a budget request to get funds allocated."

What does ROM mean in this context?

Bonus tip: quickly search your past chats on ChatGPT with this shortcut:

  • Command (⌘)+K on Mac

  • Ctrl+K on PC

04 — AI BOOK REVIEW

Key takeaways from “The Coming Wave” by Mustafa Suleyman

AI is extremely good at simplifying complex information. This applies to files you upload (give it a go!) – and even entire books. In this segment, we link to book summary created using ChatGPT. Get the key ideas quickly - and decide whether it’s worth reading the whole book.

This week’s book, “The Coming Wave”, explores the rapid rise of AI and looks at both the incredible potential and the risks posed to global stability.

We hope you enjoyed this issue.
